Bookings are now open so grab a place while you can!
This is the first reunion dinner, and one which we hope will become an annual event. We are holding it during the Oxford University Alumni Weekend so that those alumni who studied for Oxford University degrees can also attend the other events going on, if they want to.
The Alumni Weekend is increasingly popular and features a mix of stimulating talks, opportunities for socialising, and the chance to visit interesting corners of Oxford colleges. (Booking fees usually apply, please note.)
Here is what is on offer at Blackfriars:
2.30-3.45pm - Talk by the former Regent, Rev Dr Richard Finn OP, to mark the 800th anniversary of the Order in 2016:
“St Dominic’s Vision: 800 Years Young”. You can book a place at this when you book for the dinner.
7.30 for 8pm - Alumni Dinner in the Refectory, open to all Blackfriars alumni.
Public Masses at 8am, 9.30am, 6.15pm. All welcome.
The Priory Chapel is open all weekend during the daytime.
In true Blackfriars style, all Blackfriars alumni are welcome, whether you were a visiting student, or you studied in the Dominican Studium, or matriculated at the University. So come! And bring your spouse or a friend by all means.
You will be treated to a three-course meal with wine (or soft drinks) for just £29.50 per person (including VAT and card processing fees), in the beautiful Refectory of Blackfriars, with the best conversation in Oxford!
UPDATE: Fr Timothy Radcliffe OP, former Master of the Dominican Order, is confirmed as our after-dinner speaker.
Starting at 7.30pm for 8pm.
Dress code: Dinner jacket.
Please get on Facebook and tell your fellow alumni! Why not get a group together?
Accommodation in Oxford can be affordably booked via the University Rooms website.
(We regret Blackfriars cannot provide any accommodation this year.)
