Part of the Dominican Family
Dominican Peace Action is a new association of the Dominican Order made up of friars, sisters and lay people who are committed to study, pray and act together for peace and justice in accordance with the Dominican Friars' call at Avila to "take part in the peace movements, bringing the particular inspiration of the Gospel."
Study is encouraged of issues relating to the theology of peace and justice with the aim of sharing in the fruits of study with others. Members meet at summer schools and conferences, in local groups and at peace gatherings and actions.
Membership of DPA is open to all adult Roman Catholics who are not already members of another religious order. Details of formation and the commitment involved are available on request. All members make an initial commitment for two years.
For details of membership, contact The Secretary, Ros Hunt or Peter Hunter, OP.
