Golden Jubilee celebrations in Oxford
2.09k
On Thursday evening, the brethren of the priory in Oxford celebrated the golden jubilee of profession of brothers David Sanders (until very recently, the Student Master), Simon Tugwell, and Timothy Radcliffe.
The Prior cooked a special meal for the brethren, and a cake was baked and decorated by Fr Richard Conrad. Br Samuel and Fr Matthew entertained the community to a comedy sketch, a parody of the famous song from The Pirates of Penzance, aptly called for the occasion, I am the very model of a Golden Jubilarian.

What a wonderful celebration! Praise God for David Sanders, Simon Tugwell, and Timothy Radcliffe´s service in the Church! It is good to see the intergenerational dynamic in your community where the young entertain their seniors. Also the cake looks as if it were made with much thought and care. Congratulations also from us, Pia, William and Joseph Jolliffe

I have many happy and fruitful memories of being taught by fr Simon and reading his books as do so many others. I know because they ask me his whereabouts all back to the late 60’s and early 70’s. God bless you for all your inspiration, for David and the Pastoral Review, and Timothy whom I have got to know more recently personally and again for the wonderful books which feed our hearts. Ad multos annos.
