Caribbean Appeal – results so far
Last weekend, appeals were made in Cambridge and Leicester by Fr Clifton Harris and Br John Church, for the support of our houses in Jamaica and Grenada. An appeal was also sent out on the website and on email.
So far, we have raised a total of £3,468 including Gift Aid – for which many thanks to all our donors!
Help us beat last year’s total!
With appeals taking place in Oxford and London this weekend, there is still plenty of time for donors to help us to equal or beat last year’s success, which saw over £20,000 taken in the same period in support of the friars’ ministry in the Caribbean.
Your Gifts are making a difference
Thanks to your help in 2023, the playground in the Basic School was given a new layer of tarmac, the poor are being fed, the sacraments are administered, and our brothers are supported as they preach, teach, and provide pastoral care! We also have local men beginning a period of living with the friars to discern their vocation.
This year there are many needs that still need your help, including new fencing at the Basic School to keep the children safe, and covering the needs of the men discerning their vocation with the Dominicans.
