Distinguished speakers to lead Christian Literary Imagination conference
Four distinguished speakers including Rowan Williams and Timothy Radcliffe OP will give papers and lead a discussion in December 2022 on aspects of the Christian Literary Imagination.
What is the Christian Literary Imagination and how is it manifested in writers from the medieval period to the modern age? Is it something which is consciously espoused by some writers, but unconsciously manifested in the writings of others who happen to be influenced by a Christian culture? Our speakers will offer their perspectives on this issue.
The four speakers are:
- Bonnie Lander Johnson (Cambridge University);
- Timothy Radcliffe OP (Blackfriars, Oxford);
- Julia Lamm (Georgetown University);
- Rowan Williams (former Archbishop of Canterbury.)
There will also be the book launch of Christian Shakespeare: Question Mark, a collection of essays, published by Vernon Press.
Free Admission (please book).
Refreshments and lunch are provided free for all attendees.

I also would appreciate a livestream of the Christian Literary Imagination conference as I live in Sedona Arizona. Thanks for the daily livestream Eucharist Celebration. Great homilies. Ever think of streaming daily Liturgy of the Hours, – Vigils, Lauds, Midday, Vespers, Compline? As St Romuald said “Sit in your cell as in paradise. Put the whole world behind you and forget it. Watch your thoughts like a good fisherman watching for fish. The path you must follow is in the Psalms- never leave it.”
