Dominican Forum returns for a new series
Following a short break, the popular lunchtime discussion meetings are back!
This series of the Dominican Forum will see 2 webinars and 1 in-person lunch event, our first since we were forced by the lockdown to move online. The first is on 12 October.
While there are unlimited places for the webinars, the places at the lunch are limited to just 30, so be sure to book your place to avoid disappointment. Attendance at these is free of charge, but donations are appreciated. The series is hosted by CCLA, investment managers.
This series’ themes cover Transhumanism and human upgrades, evangelising aliens, and whether usury is still banned:
- ‘Can we improve on God’s design?’ (webinar)
- Should we baptise E.T.? (webinar)
- Does the Church still prohibit usury? (in-person lunch event, London)
Fr. John Rooney
always enjoy what you offer.

Dear Fr Rooney op
This is nothing to do with prayer but if you or someone else can help answer the following query I would be very grateful:
As St Padre Pio is very powerful and received the stigmata in the 20th Century (being the 1st priest to do so) can you explain whether St Francis of Assisi and St Dominic also had the wounds of Christ?
United in prayer with Jesus and Mary
