On the Feast of Our Lady’s Assumption we entered the historic city of Valladolid. We were staying at the Royal English and Welsh College under the Patronage of St. Alban (to give it its full name!). Today most English seminarians spend a propadeutic year at the college before they move on to begin the formal studies. After a lunch of jamón and melon the group ventured to the newly restored Dominican Priory of San Pablo to celebrate Mass and explore the wonderful beautiful and important Church of our Order. The group then had the afternoon and evening free to take in the atmosphere of the former Royal Capital before we
headed for Madrid in the morning.
