Br Jerome Johnson ordained deacon
The Church has a new deacon! Br Jerome Johnson OP was ordained a deacon in Oxford on Saturday.
Friars from a number of priories gathered together with other members of the Dominican family and wider friends of the Province at Blackfriars to celebrate this joyful day and give thanks to God for this new ministry bestowed on our brother.
A particular thanks also go to all those who enriched the liturgy in so many ways, and to Bishop Michael Campbell OSA for presiding and preaching so beautifully.
Br Jerome will shortly fly to Kingston, Jamaica, for the summer, where he will work in our parish there, and then return in September to begin a Licence in Theology at the Angelicum, the Dominicans’ University in Rome.
Please keep him in your prayers as he begins this ministry, and prepares for priestly ordination next summer.
