Formation Fund Appeal: could you help?
At the weekend, our Dominican brothers in formation made appeals for donations to support their studies, eliciting a generous response from supporters (results below).
Mass-goers in Oxford, Cambridge, Leicester, London and Edinburgh were pleased to meet the next generation of Dominican friars. Brothers Jerome, Reginald, Augustine, Dominik, Joseph, Michael and George spoke after Masses about their own vocations to the Order of Preachers, and explained the formation they are undergoing at Blackfriars, Oxford.

Supporters both near and far were also delighted by our inspiring new video in which friars discuss the Dominican vocation. Please watch and share it with your friends.
Results so far
The response brought in over £15,000 of new donations, leaving us with £44,000 still to raise by the end of September to meet our fundraising goal of £150,000 in the current financial year. These donations are essential at a time of increased vocations to the Dominicans, ensuring that every friar gets the excellent formation he needs for a lifetime of service.
So far, 4 new donors have set up monthly giving to provide continuing support, and two donors made generous single gifts of £1,000.
The friars are very grateful to all who have donated, and assure of their prayers for donors and their intentions.
